Responsible Corporate Governance

Our actions have an impact on society and the environment in addition to being commercially significant for our businesses.

As a result, we define responsible corporate governance as adopting a “beyond-compliance” strategy and incorporating stakeholder expectations into our business operations in order to secure our company’s long-term existence and solid reputation.

We aim to incorporate the concept of sustainable development into every aspect of our operations since we are conscious of the possible effects that our commercial operations may have on both people and the environment. Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) are the main areas of attention for our sustainable management. As a result, it is predicated on the tasks addressed by the HSSE & Sustainability Group Function. The Operating Units of Marquard & Bahls now have more authority as a result of the organizational restructuring.

Sustainability was identified as a “key enabler” at Pelorus Terminals, and roles and duties were established accordingly. Roles and duties at Pelorus Terminals will be clarified in the future as part of their strategies. Every major Marquard & Bahls company, notably Pelorus Terminals, has local HSSE managers whose responsibilities frequently encompass sustainability-related matters. A distinct sustainability team within the HSSE & Sustainability Group Function collaborates closely with the Operating Units, local managers, and other Group Functions to gather and develop pertinent activities. The CEO receives direct reports on sustainability matters from the Head of the Group Function HSSE & Sustainability.
